How to request access, download, install, and activate Microsoft Office from Self Service.
NOTE: Before downloading Microsoft Office, please note that this software is not provisioned to all Zendesk employees, and you may not be eligible for a License.
Google Workspace (Formerly G Suite, made up of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides) is the preferred Zendesk application suite for productivity. More info, including eligibility for Office 365, can be found in this FAQ article.

Requesting Access to an Application
- Navigate to Productiv App Catalog.
- Search for the application you would like to access. You can use the search bars or navigate through the categories available on the left panel.
- Select the application you are searching for.
NOTE: On the application page, a description and any unique access instructions are provided. Resource links are provided in the upper right for How-to guides, additional information, application website, etc.
- You can request access by selecting the Get license button.
- Provide a business justification for your request any additional details as requested in the application description and how-to guides, then select Submit ticket or click the Send approval request button to submit your request.
- Your request will now go through any approval and provisioning processes. You will be updated throughout the process and notified when it has been completed.
Install Office from Self Service
- Open Self Service and search for "Install Office 365." Then select Install.

NOTE: It is recommended to restart your computer after the install has completed.
Activate Office
After launching an Office application, you may be presented with AutoUpdate, Terms, Privacy, or Usage Data collection options. Read and accept as necessary.
You will also need to activate the application which you can do from the sign-in window that pops up. If you do not get a pop up window, you can activate by following these steps:
- Select the Activate button

- Select the Sign in link

- Enter your Zendesk email and select Next

- You will be redirected to our Okta login portal. Enter your Okta credentials and select Sign In
